"Clean and fast, but takes a minute"
Raycast feels really clean and quick to use. I like that the menus and shortcuts don’t feel cluttered, and overall it looks polished. It did take me a little while to find a few settings though, almost like they assume you’ll just figure it out on your own instead of pointing you there. Once I got used to where things were, the interface felt smooth and easy enough

"AI features are underwhelming"
raycast itself is actually nice and I still like using it, but the AI features feel kind of half-baked. Sometimes the responses take forever, and when they finally show up, they’re not even that helpful. For what they’re charging, I expected something a lot smarter than this. it’s a bit disappointing

"I gave Raycast a try because I kept..."
I gave Raycast a try because I kept hearing how much time it supposedly saves, and I was genuinely hoping it would fit into my workflow. Unfortunately, the integrations I actually needed just weren’t there, which was frustrating.
It seems like a lot of it is built around certain apps, which is fine, but if you don’t use those apps, it starts feeling limited very quickly. I ended up spending more time searching for workarounds than actually getting anything useful done, which kind of defeats the point.
I’m sure it works really well for people with the right setup, so I don’t want to be too harsh. But for me, it was a letdown, and after a few days of trying to make it work, I just uninstalled it.

"Good sync feature, just not quite as seamless as I expected"
I really like using Raycast, and I was expecting the sync to make switching between my Macs effortless. It does work for some things, which is nice, but it hasn’t been totally smooth for me. A bunch of my settings came over fine, but some extensions and preferences didn’t seem to fully sync, so I still had to go back and check things manually. Not a huge issue, just a little frustrating when I thought it would all carry over more cleanly. Overall it’s still a great app, I just wish the sync felt more reliable.

"The free plan covers most of what I need"
I gave Raycast a try because Spotlight was starting to feel a bit clunky and slow for me. I’m still not totally obsessed with it or anything, but the free plan has been surprisingly useful with the launcher, snippets, clipboard history, and extensions.
There are a few things I probably won’t use, and I’m not sure I need all the extra power-user stuff, but I haven’t run into any annoying limits so far. It saves me little bits of time throughout the day, so for now, it’s definitely staying on my Mac.
"Pro plan wasn’t really worth it for me"
I paid for the Pro plan mostly to use the AI features and cloud sync, but it still felt a bit clunky. The limits were also kind of confusing, and I expected the app to feel quicker and more responsive for the price. I gave it a shot, but ended up going back to free options.

"Pretty bad support experience"
I reached out to support and just never heard back. It felt like my message went into a "black hole," which was really frustrating
"Works fine, but the permissions make me squint"
The app does what it’s supposed to do, so I can’t complain too much. But every time it asks for a bunch of permissions, I’m sitting there like, hmm… why exactly do you need all that? Maybe it’s nothing, maybe it’s just normal app stuff, but part of me feels like there’s a little too much going on behind the curtain. Useful overall, just gives me slight “who’s really watching?” vibes.
"Useful commands, just caught me at a bad time"
Raycast has been useful, and I do like being able to tweak commands around how I work. I think part of my frustration was just bad timing because I was trying to set it up when I was already in a rush. Some of the settings felt a little buried, so I ended up clicking around more than I wanted to. It works well overall, just wasn’t quite as quick or obvious to get going as I expected.

"The docs are mostly fine, honestly"
The guides are helpful overall, and most of the stuff I needed was explained clearly. A few parts did send me on a little treasure hunt through extra pages and searches, but it’s fine, totally fine. I got there in the end.

"Raycast is really handy, and I can..."
Raycast is really handy, and I can see why people like it. It makes getting around my Mac faster, but I keep feeling a little uneasy about how much it wants to connect, sync, and live in the cloud for something that’s basically a launcher.
I know there are privacy settings and explanations, but I still couldn’t quite reassure myself about what’s stored, how long it’s kept, or how extensions handle data. Maybe everything is totally fine, but I’d feel better with clearer, more upfront details before using it for anything work-related.

"I tried Raycast today getting started was..."
I tried Raycast today getting started was super easy. The onboarding did a nice job of showing me the basics without feeling like it was holding my hand too much, and I had the main stuff set up within a few minutes. I’m still a little confused finding my way around some parts, so it’s not completely second nature yet. But overall, my first impression is really positive and it already feels like something I’ll keep using

"Still flaky on my Mac"
I wanted to like raycast, but on my MacBook it keeps getting weird after macOS updates. Some shortcuts randomly stop working, and I’ve had to restart the app way more often than I expected. It just feels like unnecessary hassle for something that’s supposed to make things faster.

"Pretty solid for the price"
It’s a good value for what you pay. Nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done and feels worth it overall 🙂

"It feels like there’s an update every..."
It feels like there’s an update every couple of days lately. I get that updates are needed, but at some point it starts to feel like too much, especially when I just want to use the app without constantly stopping to install something new.

"Maybe I’m being picky, but the..."
Maybe I’m being picky, but the snippet syncing has been flaky for me, and trying to edit a bunch of them at once feels more clunky than it should. I wasn’t expecting it to be perfect, but I did think it would be a little easier to manage.

"Clipboard history has been a lifesaver"
I use this every single day now. The clipboard history alone makes working on my Mac so much easier, especially when I’m jumping between tasks. A friend recommended it to me, and I’m glad I gave it a try...

"Runs really fast on my Mac"
I’ve been using it on my Mac, and it feels super quick. Everything responds almost instantly, which makes it really easy to use without any lag getting in the way.

"We’ve been using the shared commands and snippets..."
We’ve been using the shared commands and snippets more recently, and it’s already saving us a bunch of time. Instead of constantly asking someone where something is or how to run a command, we just grab what we need and keep moving. It’s made the last few team tasks feel a lot less scattered.

"Got unstuck thanks to the Raycast community"
I’ve had a few moments where I got a little stuck using raycast and wasn’t sure if I was missing something obvious. Every time I asked in the community, someone jumped in quickly with a helpful answer. What I really appreciated was that nobody made me feel silly for asking small questions. It’s just a friendly space, and it’s nice seeing both other users and people from the raycast team hanging around and helping out
